Digi-Awards for Te Kākano 1 :) Treasures for All!

We have been inspired by books which are ALL treasures!

We wanted to share some of our national treasures by creating our own class book together using Book Creator.

We were also inspired by one of Mrs T's favourite books - but we did all our own work :)

We even used a stylus pen for the first time which we loved! A new skill for all of us!

Enjoy: 'Aotearoa: Sharing our National Treasures'

Loose Parts Rock!

They really do! Our tamariki really enjoyed recreating the beach and shoreline together.

The Conversation and discussion was fabulous to observe! Tino pai akonga!

Growing Germs in Te Kakano!

Science Fun in Te Kakano

We have been finding out about different kinds of Living Things.

We decided to try and grow germs so we could also learn about how to clean our hands to stay healthy and where germs come from.

Do you want to see something SHOCKING and GROSS!!??

The lemon, grey and orange blobs on the bread above are different kinds of bacteria, mould and funghi that grew on the bread over 2 weeks.

Want to see more? It's fascinating and shocking! Look at our slide show below:

Are you going to wash your hands more carefully before you eat now?
We hope so!!
