Te Kākano are totally awesome at drills and we did our own Earthquake 'Drop - Cover - Hold' together :)
We know all about the Turtle-Song and making a ball on the ground with our hands behind our heads too!

Te Kākano was really pleased to have Mr Robertson pay us a visit during our Play-Based learning time. We were discussing making the staircase with the 1 to 10 pieces but we were also working on making totals to 20 using lots of different Numicon shapes!
Did you know that 5 + 5 + 7 + 3 = 20!!! We do :)
Since starting back to school in week 1, we have been developing our long distance running skills by running a wibbly-wobbly circuit around the school grounds. As we have got construction underway on our new scooter track, we got to do the actual Cross country race at our local domain which was super exciting!
We loved that our whānau came to see us race too - thanks for cheering us on!
We are really excited to give our class a new facelift! We changed the entire layout of the learning areas to maximise space but still have lots of fun together!
