Frost and Snow: What is different? What is the Same?

Today when we arrived at school there was frost all over the playground. Some of us didn't know what it was, so we talked about Frost and Snow. This is what we thought:

Shape Sorting

We enjoyed ourselves heaps today :)  We had the chance to explore our 2D shapes to play a sorting game.

We had a partner and we had to decide 'How?' we were going to group the shapes.

We chose to sort them out according to colour, same shapes, number of sides and what the shapes were made of!

This was really good fun!






More Minion 3D Shape Magic

Minions get everywhere!!!

Geo Nets are such a great way to explore 3D shapes.  Te Kakano and Rimu worked closely together to construct our Minion Cuboids - aren't we clever!

Enthusiastic workers are the best learners so this means that we shared an awesome Numeracy lesson today :)

Happiness is... a Minion Maths Lesson

Today we had senior buddies helping us learn about 3D shapes. You'll never believe what we made with our buddies.... a Minion cube!

Of course, we had to check we all knew what a Minion looked like first...

More Maths Whizz with our Rimu Buddies :)

We had an awesome day in Te Kakano with a special visitor, Chris Perkinson, from Maths Whizz:) We also had our buddies from Rimu who brought in their Chrome Books and supported us to work through our activities on Maths Whizz! We are Maths superstars and can't wait to get home and get back onto our own Maths Whizz!
