As part of showing our smart, Mrs T wanted us to share with you how great we are doing at ordering our numbers.
We chose the lolly stick number game to order numbers between 1 and 20! We are very proud of our hard work :)

Te Kākano have been super busy this week! We have seen so much awesome learning happening away from school and in so many ways.
Lambs, Skinks and Plovers have all been a part of week 6 alongside getting ready for Fathers Day too!
Ice cream, cookies and slices have been baked. Pounamu green stone has been found and heaps of amazing LEGO creations have been designed, built, broken and rebuilt!
Google MEETs have happened daily and we have all shared our news. Our Covid Levels have moved from Level 4 down to Level 3 which has seen some of our friends going back to school too!
Mrs V and Mrs T have loved seeing all the work and Mrs Royfee, Mr Robertson and Lynda have been amazed on MEET to see and hear everyone's news and ideas.
I have created a file with more photos on for you to enjoy :)

Researchers are flooding the globe with 'why' it is the way to go for so many learners.
This short YouTube offers you an easy to understand but informative overview of the importance of the early literacy skills we are explicitly teaching - in simple terms - Reading is NOT caught, it IS taught :)
