The Construction Castle continues to be used industriously :)

The children say that they feel like lucky guys in our New Entrants class!

Role-Play at it's Best!

As part of the Experience-Play Based Learning in our New Entrants class, we really enjoy choosing our Role-Play themes.

We have got an awesome Castle area that we use to turn into whatever we want!  It has been a Vet's Clinic, Travel Agents, Supermarket, Restaurant, Post Office, WOF station, Garden Centre and Space Centre to name a few!

This time we have chosen to change it into our 'Construction Castle' and as you can see from the photos we have got lots of awesome cool new stuff to role-play with!

Site managers and visitors must all wear high-vis jackets and sign in! Tool kits, hard hats and superb construction kits to help us learn together!

Fun times ahead for sure - mind your head :)

Numicon in Week 3 :)

We have discovered that we are all amazing 'Mathematicians' in Te Kākano class and Numicon is proving to be a fabulous resource to help us problem solve and discuss maths with our friends.

We have loved making totals and equivalents with the Numicon and showing how we understand them!

We have used lots of number in our play around class too!

Welcome back to Term 3 Everyone

Kia ora everyone!

Term 3 is underway and we have got so many lovely things to celebrate already!

Our playground has had a facelift which makes it look so super smart!

Our HERO Awards have been given out to the certificate earners!

Our Mihi whākatau was held to welcome our newest akōnga to Yaldhurst :)

Yaldhurst Model School IS a great place to be!
